Here is my ninth album of piano solos. Celebrating a variety of genres, these fourteen compositions represent many different birds. The piano solo “Crows” is dark and daunting, which contrast to “A Flock of Seagulls” that is uplifting and whimsical. “Dragonflies” is a jazz sensation somewhat magical and fun. More details are included in the album description on the link.

Enjoy!

150 Year Celebration of P.E.O.

What an amazing experience it was to play the piano for the P.E.O. International Convention in Des Moines, Iowa this past September.

The rehearsal with the choir of 275 women with Theresa Spencer was nothing short of heavenly. When the sisters started singing they sounded like angels. So much fun playing the Opening Ode while 6,000 P.E.O. ladies sang. Jean Couchie Burnquist, who sang “For Good” from Wicked, blew me away with her beautiful voice. Thanks to Sue Baker’s generosity, I was able to perform the Founders’ Medley as a prelude to Friday Business meeting and “Sister Eternal” as the meditation on Saturday morning.

It was just wonderful having my Chapter BL sisters, Gretchen Jolly and Carolyn Chapman to share this grand occasion. And a very special Thank you to my daughter and P.E.O. sister, Kelsi Kremer, who helped me sell Cds and sheet music and was just over all fantastic!

Words from Descendant of Alice Bird Babb

What a treat to have Jill Kremer be part of our Sisterhood’s 150th celebration!  Our Tampa Reciprocity flew her in for our annual Founder’s Day luncheon where she gave us a concert of her original piano works, highlighting each of our seven Founders. She has captured their personalities in these pieces and gave us a little insight into each of these special women who began our extraordinary Sisterhood.  May you feel their presence as Jill presents these lovely pieces to those fortunate to be in attendance at this amazing celebration!

P.E.O. Founders Piano Solos at Illinois Convention

Past State President Karen Steward was kind enough to give me a quote, “When I was looking for music for the Convention of Illinois State Chapter in 2012, I ordered the CD “The Piano Solos: A Tribute to P.E.O. Founders” from Jill. She had composed and performed the CD and it was beyond my expectations!  I had a hard time deciding which beautiful melody I loved best!  I chose to use “Ella Stewart” as a processional and “Suela Pearson Penfield” as a recessional.  I still listen to my CD today and it still brings me peace and.  Thank you, Jill, for sharing your talents! “

Descendant of Hattie Briggs Bousquet

It has been my great pleasure to be in contact with Tammy Laird,

who is the Great Great Granddaughter of Hattie. She received the

Founder’s Sheet Music a number of years ago. Here is what she said,

” I was the pianist for the Kansas State Convention this past June. I shared all seven of the Founders pieces that you had composed. They were very well received…our Sisters loved them!! “

Thank you for the support Tammy!
